When telework and distancing learning began in mid-March, <strong>Mandy Oglesby, PhD<\/strong>, associate professor in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pharmacy.umaryland.edu\/about\/depts\/psc\/\"><strong>Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (PSC)<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0reached out to me with the great idea to have faculty members with labs in PSC gather personal protective equipment (PPE) and other supplies to donate to UMMC. <strong>Ashlee Mattingly, PharmD<\/strong>, assistant professor in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pharmacy.umaryland.edu\/about\/depts\/pps\/\"><strong>Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science (PPS)<\/strong><\/a>, also donated essential PPE items from the School of Pharmacy\u2019s Abilities Lab. Her donation included 500 surgical masks, hundreds of contact precaution gowns, and hand sanitizer. She and\u00a0<strong>Jim Polli, PhD<\/strong>, the Shangraw\/Noxell Endowed Chair in Industrial Pharmacy and Pharmaceutics, partnered to donate thousands of gloves from their compounding project, which\u00a0Pam Crowe, the School\u2019s facilities manager,\u00a0helped gather.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Oglesby and\u00a0<strong>Angela Wilkes, PhD<\/strong>, the Isaac E.
